Now I’m sure the term green smoothie is a term
almost all of us have heard by now. The amazing green energy drink packed with
nutrients and vitamins. I have been enjoying my green smoothies now for about 6
months and I have to say I am in love with them. At first the texture was odd
but it didn’t take me long to start enjoying them and the benefits they bring
with a passion.
Having a green smoothie
each morning has become a ritual for me and not only have these green super
smoothies been good for my body; they’ve also been good for my mind. Not long
after beginning this ritual I could see the benefits before my own eyes. My
skin became more radiant, I began to lose weight, I had greater mental clarity
(my thoughts became clearer and my ability to focus became easier) and I
noticed a sizable increase in my energy levels.
Ingredients
· A bunch of Silverbeet
· ¼ cup mint leaves
· ½ lemon
· ½ continental cucumber
· 4 lettuce leaves
· 2 celery stalks
· 1 tps ginger
· Handful of ice cubes
Method
Feed the
ingredients a little at a time into the blender and begin to blend together. If
you feel the ingredients are blending together a little thick just add some
filtered water. Add the ice cubes to the mixture last and then blend again.
Drink
immediately!
